Ocean Co. Teacher Accused Of Sexual Contact With Student At School

JACKSON, NJ — A middle school teacher and high school club advisor in Jackson faces child endangerment charges after having "inappropriate sexual contact" with a student on high school property, authorities said.

Andrew Fantasia, 27, also sought nude photos from the victim, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said in a joint news release.

The sexual contact spanned from February 2023 to June 2023 while Fantasia was employed by the school district, authorities said.

Fantasia, a Beachwood resident and Central Regional High School alumnus, is a math teacher at Carl W. Goetz Middle school and also serves as a club advisor at Jackson Memorial High School. His page on the official Jackson School District website had blocked as of Friday afternoon.

Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant on Fantasia's home on Oct. 25, where they seized multiple electronic devices in his possession, authorities said. Fantasia was taken to Ocean County Jail, where he remains pending a detention hearing.

Fantasia was charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child and official misconduct.

"I would encourage parents to have a conversation with their children in order to determine whether they had Mr. Fantasia as a teacher or advisor.
