Ocean County Health Department Releases Flu Shot Schedule In Berkeley

There are a number of locations where residents can get their shots.

Berkeley Township residents will be able to get their flu and pneumonia shots at a variety of locations this fall, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.

The shots will be given by Ocean County Health Department workers, who will use a quadravalent vaccine, a combination of two strains of both A and B flu viruses.

“Adding an additional strain of B virus to the vaccine aims to give broader protection against circulating flu viruses,” the mayor said.
