Patrick Varano, Brother Of Former Berkeley Mayor, Dies At 50

Patrick Varano, 50, of Harrison, died due to medical complications, on December 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Pat was a lifelong resident of Harrison and was a fabulous guitar musician. He wasn’t rich with material things but had a heart of gold.

Mr. Varano was predeceased by his parents, Robert “Bob” in 2014 and Kathleen Varano in 2002.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Varano; and his loving nieces Ava and Caraline; his aunts and uncles; Mary Panarello, Frank Castrogovianni, Maryann and Joe Kuczynski, Donna and Everett VanBuskirk, Debbie Varano, Ralph Varano and JoAnne, Patrick and Anna Varano and Charlie and Angela Varano. Also surviving are many loving cousins and friends.

Visiting hours will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville.
