Pedestrian Struck On Ocean Gate Drive
Woman had non-life-threatening injuries, but was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, police chief says.

A woman was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center early Thursday evening after she was struck trying to cross Ocean Gate Drive, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
The accident happened at 5:16 p.m., when a 2004 Subaru Forester driven by Albert Meeker, 73, Long Branch Avenue, Bayville, struck the pedestrian. The woman had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by the Bayville First Aid Squad and MONOC paramedics.
Patrolman Scott Rudolph is investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone with information should contact the Traffic Safety Bureau at 732-341-1132, ext. 165.
