One of Ocean County's favorite beaches is also one of the most popular dog-friendly vacation sites, according to a recent survey.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — To many, dogs are more than just a pet. They've become treasured members of the family, and some even opt to take them along on vacation instead of leaving them with a sitter.
Pet owners have been looking for dog-friendly vacation destinations, and dog website EuroPuppy.com surveyed 3,000 dog-owning families to find the 100 Most Dog Friendly Vacation Destinations in America. One of the most popular beaches in Ocean County falls at number 45.
It's not always easy to find dog-friendly beaches, especially in the summertime, but you can always bring Fido to Island Beach State Park (just keep him away from the swimming areas in the summer).
