'Potentially Rabid' Fox Temporarily Closes Double Trouble State Park
The park was closed Monday evening and remains closed as of Tuesday morning, state park officials said.

BERKELEY, NJ — Double Trouble State Park remains temporarily closed Tuesday morning after a "potentially rabid fox" was present in the park.
New Jersey State Park Service officials closed the park Monday evening so that a sick animal could be trapped, but have now clarified that the animal is a fox. The park is closed for all uses until further notice, officials said.
The fox was "behaving erratically and has been involved in encounters with visitors," officials said. It was not immediately clear if the fox had hurt any people or other animals.
