Relay For Life of Berkeley/Lacey
Relay For Life fundraiser to help support people who are fighting cancer.
Central Regional will be participating in the local Relay For Life event from Saturday May 20th - Sunday, May 21st. Our team named, "Central Regional: Be the Change," has participated in the event before raising over $1800 in 2016. Relay For Life participates in communities across the globe to help raise funds in order to honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and to fight against a disease that has already taken too much. 1 out of 3 women and 1 out of 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which means that could be you or a loved one.
The event will start on May 20th and Veteran's Park. Relay For Life teams camp out overnight. Opening Ceremony will be at 2:00 pm and the running will not stop until 6:00 am. Since cancer never sleeps it is asked that all teams have at least one runner on the track at all times. Together we can help fight the disease and celebrate the 14 million cancer survivors who will live to see their birthday this year due to all of our efforts. Helping to finish the fight and find a cure: priceless!
