Reorganization Meetings Set In Berkeley

BERKELEY, NJ — Ringing in the new year, Mayor-Elect John Bacchione will be officially sworn in on Jan. 1, when the Berkeley Township Council holds its annual reorganization meeting.

The meeting, set for 11 a.m. at the municipal building (627 Pinewald Keswick Road), will also see the swearing-in of Berkeley's newest councilman, Doug Bowens. The Council will also pick its new president.

The Berkeley Board of Health also has their reorganization meeting set for the same time.

At the meeting, 2024 meeting dates for the Township Council will likely be set.

Dates for other reorganization meetings are as follows:

• Zoning Board of Adjustment: Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. (municipal building)
• Planning Board: Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. (municipal building)
• Berkeley Township Board of Education: Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. (Berkeley Township Elementary School auditorium)
• Central Regional Board of Education: Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. (high school presentation room)
