Incumbents Lead In Berkeley Unofficial Election Results For 2023

BERKELEY, NJ — Election results are coming in, and Patch has the latest updates.

Residents are electing a new mayor and three Township Council seats. Additionally, three Berkeley Township Board of Education seats are up for grabs.

Here are the results. Note that all numbers are unofficial until certified by the Ocean County Clerk's Office.

Mayoral Race

• John Bacchione (R): 9,137
• Kia Phua (D): 3,099

Township Council Race

• Thomas Grosse (R, incumbent): 8,697
• Keith Buscio (R, incumbent): 8,830
• Douglas Bowens (R): 8,575
• Mary K. Curtis (D): 3,286

• Frank DeMaio, IV (D): 3,321

Board of Education

• Jennifer Bacchione: 7,167
• Dave Ytreboe: 6,408
• Thomas Guarascio: 6,581

State Senate

• Carmen Amato (R): 37,487 (projected to win by the Associated Press)
• Gabriel Franco (D): 17,275

General Assembly
