Rosanne L. Citta, Longtime Ocean County Realtor, Dies At 71

Rosanne L. Citta, 71, of Pompano Beach Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a short illness.

Rosanne was the Broker/Owner of Citta & Moffitt Realtors in South Seaside Park, alongside her daughter and business partner, Heather Moffitt.

Rosanne's many accomplishments, include past president of both the Ocean County Board of Realtors and the New Jersey Association of Realtors, Ocean County Realtors of the Year (1993 and 1999), Ocean County Girl Scout Citizen of the Year, Trustee of the Executive Board at Ocean County College, Nominating Chair for the Ocean County College Foundation Board of Trustees and President of the Citta Foundation, which was created by her parents many decades ago. She continued their dream by making sure the Foundation continued on donating to many local and national organizations in need.

She was a 1963 graduate of Toms River High School. She moved on to further her studies at Endicott College in Beverly Massachusetts and then on to Katharine Gibbs in Boston, Massachusetts.

Rosanne had a strong commitment to health policies, always promoting health and wellness in the community which led to one of the largest gift donations to Community Medical Center and the naming of the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center in memory of her brother, Phil Citta.

Known to many as "Roey", she was truly a one of a kind person and her strength will live on through everyone that knew her best. She was a truly loving and deeply caring friend and family member, and her frank sense of humor would never fail to put a smile on your face or make you fall down in laughter.

Roey was never at a loss of words, she always told it exactly how it was, even when we didn't want to hear it, but she was always right. She was one of those people in life that just made you feel good about yourself even when you didn't believe it and she always knew how to bring light into a room and her commitment to making her community a better place will never be forgotten.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Regina Citta, her brother Phil Citta. Surviving are her two loving daughters and their husbands, Loriann and Patrick Erbe, Heather (Moffitt) and Louis Senatore, her brother; Joseph and wife Sarah Citta, one niece; Kristin Farfalla her husband David, one nephew; Justin and his wife Carolina Citta, three grandnieces; Jessica and Miranda Farfalla and Isabella Citta, one grandnephew: Dylan Citta and the three lights of Roey's eyes, her grandchildren; Joseph, Jillian and Jordan Erbe.

Visiting will be on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper Ave.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Citta Foundation; 201 Hooper Avenue, Suite 5A, Toms River, 08753 or the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
