Seaside Heights Camping On The Beach Postponed Until Next Week

Seaside Heights officials have cancelled tonight's beach camping event to to the torrential rain and lighting expected, according to a post on the borough's Facebook page.

Instead, the event will be held at 7 p.m. next Thursday, August 4.

Anyone who registered for the July 28 program will automatically have their registration transferred to the Aug. 4 event, according to the Facebook post.

"If you are registered and unable to attend the Aug. 4 Beach Camping event that your registration has been transferred to, please reply to this e-mail and we will be happy to refund your registrations.

"This decision has been made with your safety in mind and we appreciate your understanding on the matter," the post states.
