Seaside Heights Man Wins $2M Off Lottery Ticket From Bayville
Andrew Diaz, 36, won big from a Scratch-Off game.

BERKELEY, NJ — A Seaside Heights man went to Wawa on Route 9 in Bayville and got richer. Andrew Diaz won $2 million from a Scratch-Off ticket he bought at the store, the New Jersey Lottery announced Thursday.
Diaz, 36, buys a couple Scratch-Offs every few weeks but previously only won small prizes. He recently purchased two tickets — the $90 million Platinum Payout Scratch-Offs — and scratched them off in the parking lot.
He didn't win anything on the first ticket, but he had to look twice at the second. His heart started racing when he realized he won.

"This is a life-changer,” Diaz said. “Besides my children being born, this is the second-best feeling ever.”
Diaz signed the ticket and drove home to put it in a safe place. He called his brother, who at first didn't believe him. Diaz showed him the winning ticket, and they travelled to New Jersey Lottery headquarters to validate their claim.
