Shooting Victim From Bayville Dies From His Injuries
Javon Cutler was a member of the Central Regional class of 2019. He was shot Sunday in Toms River.

BERKELEY, NJ — A Bayville man and shooting victim died from his injuries Wednesday night at the hospital. Javon Cutler suffered a gunshot wound to the head Sunday in Toms River, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
Cutler, 19, died at about 7 p.m. at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. The Ocean County Medical Examiner will conduct a postmortem examination Thursday afternoon.
Authorities continue to search for a suspect. Cutler and two friends were leaving Toms River Apartments on Main Street at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, when someone shot toward their vehicle, the OCPO said. Cutler sat in the rear passenger seat.

The driver of the vehicle drove directly to Community Medical Center. Cutler was subsequently transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Cutler was a member of Central Regional's class of 2019, Superintendent Dr. Triantafillos Parlapanides confirmed Monday to Patch.

"We are not aware of the circumstances that occurred but send prayers and well wishes to Javon and his family during these difficult times," Parlapanides said the day after the shooting.
Several people mourned for Cutler on social media.
