BERKELEY, NJ — Nicole Fresco bought her new house in Bayville on Feb. 22. On March 12, she got the call no one wants to get. Her new home was on fire.
When she made it back home from work, the fire had been burning for hours. Her new house was now unlivable.
Her sister, Carla, launched a GoFundMe to help Nicole and her four-year-old son, Nolan, in their time of need.

"The home that my sister worked so hard to get was destroyed," Carla wrote in the GoFundMe description. She said her sister is a devoted single mom who never asks for help and is a hard worker.
"They are devastated and now need to find somewhere else to temporarily live and fix her home, while still managing to pay the mortgage on this house, as well as other bills, and now expenses to try and get her home back to livable conditions," she said of her sister and nephew.
