While many have regained electricity, some might not get it back until 6 p.m. Friday, according to JCP&L.
BERKELEY, NJ — Some in Berkeley might not regain power until 6 p.m. Friday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light's estimated restoration time. While many in Berkeley have power again after Wednesday's storms, 330 customers still don't have electricity as of 9:30 a.m. Friday.
More than 7,000 customers in Berkeley — nearly a third of the township — lost power Wednesday.
The company doesn't expect many nearby towns to regain power until 6 p.m. Friday, including Lacey, Beachwood, Ocean Gate, Waretown and Barnegat. There are still 7,518 customers without power in Ocean County — higher than any of the 13 counties JCP&L serves.
