OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Are you scared? A Friday the 13th in October is certain to be frightening. And if you're in a spooky mood, there's plenty of fun to be had in Ocean County this weekend.

Of course, if you're more of a scaredy-cat, there's no need to worry. There's still lots of general fun going on this weekend, with fall festivals and the return of the Pine Barrens Jamboree.

Oct. 13

This weekend is the Halloween Fun Fest at Fantasy Island Amusement Park. It runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

At 6 p.m., enjoy the Little Egg Harbor Community Halloween Bash with costumes, pumpkin decorating, a bounce house and more. At 8 p.m., enjoy a drive-in showing of "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

Looking for a good fright? Lacey Recreation is hosting a haunted trail Friday and Saturday at Gille Park.

Oct. 14

Cedar Post Farm Market in Lakehurst is hosting their first-ever Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 28th Annual Pine Barrens Jamboree is set for Wells Mills State Park from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Celebrate all things Lacey with the return of Lacey Day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Gille Park.

Enjoy ice cream and check out local vendors at a Fall Festival held at the Sweet Shack in Bayville.

Oct. 15

Check out a parade, vendors, giveaways and more at Jackson Day held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Johnson Park.

Listen to great music at the Harvest Hootenanny in the Pines from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Albert Music Hall in Waretown.
