The latest performances in the Berkeley Township Summer Concert series had to be shelved due to a sudden onslaught of thunderstorms, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.

Berkeley Township officials will decide later today if the latest summer concert series will kick off at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park in Bayville, Mayor Carmen F. Amato Jr. said.
The performers tonight are Abbamania, a well-known Abba recreation band, and Night Fever, a Bee Gees tribute band.

Plan for some traffic delays on Forest Hills Parkway. Residents are urged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the concert.
The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., followed by showers and a possible thunderstorm after 4 p.m. Some of the storms could bring gusty winds and heavy rain.
