Bayville, NJ : The best beaches. The best -- and newly restored -- boardwalks. And Little League baseball. It’s a perfect combination and it all comes together on Saturday, July 26, during the New Jersey State Little League Championships, hosted by District 18’s Berkeley Little League.
After morning elimination games in the Joe Graziano NJ State Little League Championship and the N.J. State Junior Little League Championship, families will adjourn to Seaside Heights for fun on the sand and boardwalk.
And The Hershey Motel, 1415 Boulevard, Seaside Heights, is offering discounted room rates for tournament participants to help make it an affordable week for tournament families.
Lucky Leo’s Amusements is giving the Little Leaguers free game play for those who love to indulge in Skeeball and all other kinds of arcade games.
For amusement ride fans, Casino Pier is giving all the players (and one guest) “Ride & Slide” passes good for rides on the Boardwalk and at Breakwater Beach plus $15 in arcade play at Casino Pier’s arcades. The Sunrise Motel, The Palm Villa Motel, Bobbers Restaurant, Klee’s Grill & the Army Navy Store are all helping to sponsor this event, be sure to stop by and say hello.
It will be a week to remember for Little Leaguers, Junior Leaguers and their families as they help Little League celebrate its 75th anniversary. Ocean County and the Seaside Heights Business Improvement District are opening their arms and welcoming everyone for this milestone celebration.
The Joe Graziano NJ State Little League Championship and the NJ State Junior Little League Championship, hosted by District 18’s Berkeley Little League, are both presented by TD Bank.
Ocean County has a proud history in the Little League World Series, with Lakewood Little League in 1975 and Toms River East American Little League in 1998 bringing home titles, giving the county two of the state’s four Little League World Champions (Little Big League of Hammonton in 1949 and Wayne Little League in 1970 are the other two).
In addition to TD Bank, the Seaside Heights BID, Hershey Motel, Lucky Leo’s and Casino Pier, tournament sponsors include Community Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility; Perlmart ShopRite, The Cove, Bayville; Modell’s; Dairy Queen of Bayville; Blackbeard’s Cave , Bayville; and the Ocean County Tourism Advisory Council.
