Townhouse Development To Go Before Berkeley Planning Board Again

The 17-unit development was approved in 2022, but has to be reheard since the developers did not provide notice to Ocean Gate homeowners.

BERKELEY, NJ — A townhouse development will go before the Berkeley Township Planning Board again, after the project was already approved in June 2022.

The proposed two three-story townhouse buildings containing 17 units would be located at 171 Louis Ave. in Bayville. It was previously approved along with a setback variance. It is being developed by Dream Homes & Development Corp.

However, the development has to be reheard because notice of the original hearing was not provided to property owners in Ocean Gate.

A public hearing on the townhouses will be held at the Sept. 21 Planning Board meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Berkeley Township Municipal Building (627 Pinewald Keswick Road).

Anyone who wishes to speak on the project is invited to do so at the hearing. Copies of the application and plans are available for review at the Planning Board Offices in the Berkeley Township Municipal Offices.
