Two Seaside Heights Residents Charged In Drug Distribution: Prosecutor

Kelly Borden, 46, and Thomas Melvin, 21 both arrested in Blaine Avenue residence after no-knock search warrant.

A monthlong investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and Seaside Heights police led to the arrest of two borough residents on drug possession and distribution charges, Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said.

Authorities conducted a no-knock search warrant at 12:55 p.m. on May 26 at 325 Blaine Avenue in Seaside Heights.. They seized quantities of Oxycodone prescription pain killers, wax - a derivative of the marijuana plant that is smoked in pipes, assorted drug paraphernalia and roughly $2,350 in cash, Coronato said.

They arrested two residents at the address, he said.

Kelly Borden, 46, 325 Blaine Avenue, Apt 2, Seaside Heights, was charged with two counts of possession of Oxycodone, a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of Oxycodone with intent to distribute, two counts of distribution of Oxydodone, one count of possession of Oxycodone,and one count of possession of CDS (Oxycodone) with intent to distribute. Ocean County Superior Court Judge James M. Blaney set her bail at $25,000 cash. She was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

Thomas Melvin, 21, same address, was charged with possession of marijuana (wax), possession of marijuana (wax) with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Melvin was subsequently released on a summons.
