BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley's veterans won't be forgotten this Veteran's Day, as residents seek to honor them through a ceremony.

Local realtor Anita Morris shared details about the event at a recent Berkeley Township Council meeting.

"My team and I are putting together a celebration of our veterans," Morris explained to the Council.

The plan is to honor all veterans of Berkeley Township, she said. They have American flags that will be named after each veteran, and memorial plaques will be made for each one, Morris said.

The event will be held on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, at Veteran's Park. A prayer ceremony is set for 4:30 p.m. with a free covered dish dinner for the families of each named veteran at Berkeley Recreation Center from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
