Virginia Talbot Rickmers Of Bayville Dies At 76

Services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Virginia (Ginger) Talbot Rickmers, 76, of Bayville, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 30, 2016, with her loving family at her side.

Ginger was born in Mount Vernon, New York to Margaret and Matthew Talbot, then moved to Bayville in 1961. A graduate of Ocean County College, she was employed by the State of New Jersey, Kupper Engineering, Continental Insurance and retired in 2002 from Micro Warehouse.

Ginger was involved with the Bayville Soccer Association for many years. Affectionately known as Nana to her 11 grandchildren, she could be seen at all their sporting events. She was an original parishioner at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, Bayville and involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was involved with the Italian-American Club.

Ginger was predeceased by her parents, brother Matthew Talbot, and sister Margaret Mattson. She is survived by husband, the love of her life for 47 years, John Ulissi; her children Virginia and spouse Paul Taylor, Thomas and spouse Robin Rickmers, John and Valerie, James and spouse Cheryl Rickmers; 11 beloved grandchildren, Greg, Heather and Steve, Christopher, Ryan and Carolyn, Kevin and Vanessa, Thomas, Austin, Maelyn and Jason, Cassie, Ashley and Ryan, Shane. Also 6 great-grandchildren, Jake, Wayne, Spencer, Caelyn, Hailey and Layla; her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Lois Talbot, sister Dorothy Vitiello, sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Edward Buecker, and sister-in-law Maureen Talbot, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Boulevard, Bayville. The funeral will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home before celebrating a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville. Burial will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Lakewood.
