Willie Jacobs Steps Down As Central Regional's Head Football Coach

Central Regional head football coach Willie Jacobs - who led the Golden Eagles for three seasons - will not be back as coach this year, athletic director John Scran said.

Jacobs informed school officials on Monday he would not be returning as head coach, but would continue to teach at Central Regional, according to app.com.

The Golden Eagles thrived under Jacobs and went 19-12 since 2013. They won a Shore Conference Class B South championship in 2014.

"Mr. Jacobs did a great job rejuvenating the football program,'' Scran said in a statement. "The athletic department and the administration at Central Regional would like to thank Mr. Jacobs for his years as an assistant and head coach for the varsity football program.''
