BERKELEY, NJ — Though Adriana Kuch is gone, the community is making sure she will never be forgotten. And donations for her funeral services have been pouring in.

Kuch, 14, recently took her own life after experiencing bullying at Central Regional High School, including an attack that was filmed and shared on social media. Students have been calling on the district for action and change. Read more: 'We Want Justice': Central Students Protest After Classmate's Death

"Adriana was a wonderful and brave daughter who touched the lives of those around her," organizer Samantha Nye wrote. "We are all devastated by her loss and were not prepared for the high cost of the expenses to come."

As of Friday morning, only 15 hours after it was created, the fundraiser has exceeded its $5,000 goal.

It's clear that the Bayville community will not soon let Kuch be forgotten as they continue to fight for justice. A Change.org petition, titled "Stop the Violence at Central Regional High School NJ," has reached nearly 7,000 signatures as of Friday morning.

The petition was created by a mother who says her daughter was also attacked at the school in Jan. 2022, and similar to Kuch, it was filmed and shared on social media.

"She had reported threats and their previous stalking to the school weeks before it happened and NOTHING was done," the mother, who has an open lawsuit against the district, wrote in the petition's description.

The petition calls for a change in administration and increased security to prevent further attacks in school, along with more accountability.

An all-day protest is also being held on Friday at nearby Veterans Park.
