Details Released In N.J. Fatal Highway Crash; 1 Thrown From Car, Child Hurt
One person was killed after he was thrown from a car, and a child was seriously hurt in a horrific N.J. accident this weekend, cops say.

Details were released after one person was killed and two others were seriously hurt — including a child — in an accident that shut down eastbound Interstate 78 this weekend, according to police.
One person was charged with driving while intoxicated in the accident, police said.
The fatal victim was thrown from a Chevrolet minivan when it crashed near Clinton Township, and a juvenile was flown to Morristown Medical Center and a woman was driven there, both to be treated for injuries, nj.com said.

New Jersey State Police have identified the victim in Saturday’s fatal DWI crash as Ariel Lozano, 32, of Reading, Pennsylvania, who died soon after the 11:58 a.m. accident near mile marker 19.6, according to NJ101.5.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Tiasha Falu, also of Reading, lost control of the minivan and veered off the left side of the roadway before spinning around and flipping, according to the report.

A 16-year-old boy who had been riding in the front seat of the vehicle was hospitalized at Morristown Medical Center, according to the report.
Falu also tested positive for an elevated blood alcohol level and was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to the reports.
The van was on its side as traffic crept by on the shoulder while the eastbound lanes were closed during the investigation. The crash was cleared by 3:15 p.m., nj.com reported.
The Fire & EMS Alerts of Hunterdon County Facebook page and 101.5 reported several vehicles were involved with several people ejected onto the highway.
