$30K Worth Of Jewelry Stolen From Bedminster Home: Blotter
A man was also arrested for burglary of a Bedminster business and being in possession of heroin and a hypodermic syringe: blotter

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A North Edgewood Road reported someone stole about $30,000 worth of jewelry from her home, according to Bedminster Police.
On Oct. 1 at 1:02 p.m., the resident reported sometime between the last week in August and Oct. 1 she had numerous pieces of jewelry stolen.
There was no forced entry to the residence and no one has been in the residence. Investigation pending.

On Sept. 26 at approximately 3:02 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to the area of the Wood Duck Pond development for a solicitor’s complaint. Upon arrival the officer made contact with an employee of the company “Inspire”, who had a badge around his neck and advised that they were a 3rd party supplier of electric. As per the local ordinance public utility companies did not need a permit to solicit, but they could not solicit in any neighborhood that had posted “No Soliciting” signs. The employee complied.

On Sept. 27 at 10:33 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to the corner of Old Dutch Road and Route 206 for a zoning violation. Upon arrival there was a vehicle marked for sale parked on the corner. The owner of the vehicle was advised that is was in violation of Township Local Ordinance 13-105, Junkyard and resale of motor vehicles. The owner removed the vehicle.
On Sept. 28 at approximately 7:37 p.m.: Bedminster Police were in the Fresh Food Market parking lot (35 Washington Valley Road) when they were advised of a report of juveniles running in between vehicles. The officer observed two juveniles riding skateboards in between the cars in the parking lot and towards Washington Valley Road. The officer advised both of the complaint. They apologized and stated they understood how dangerous their behavior was. The parents of both juveniles were advised of the complaint.
On Sept. 29 at 3:16 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to the area of Burnt Mills Road for a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was located off of Hills Drive. Subsequent to the investigation, James Zampieri, age 54 of Somerville was arrested for driving under the influence and issued summonses for careless driving, safety glass/cracked windshield and failure to inspect.
On Oct. 1 at approximately 6:14 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Tiger Claw Exxon (1432 Route 202/206) for a report of a suspicious person. Subsequent to the investigation, Michael Horan age 35 of Pompton Plains was arrested for burglary, possession of heroin, burglar’s tools, theft of movable property, possession of hypodermic syringe, and possession of paraphernalia. Horan was lodged in Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail, $75,000 with 10%.
