4 Drug, 2 Warrant Arrests Made In Bedminster

Bedminster Police report making four arrests for drug possession and two for outstanding warrants.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Bedminster Police report making four arrests for drug possession and two for outstanding warrants.

Bedminster Police Blotter:

On July 16 at approximately 1:03 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a red Honda Accord driving on Route 206 southbound with obstructed front windows due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 202/206 southbound in the area of the Knox House. Subsequent to the investigation, Andrew Girgis,
36, of Bayonne was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and issued motor vehicle summonses for operation of a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS and obstruction of windshield for vision.

On July 25 at approximately 8:40 p.m.: While on patrol on Route 202/206 northbound, Bedminster Police observed a silver Hyundai Sonata traveling northbound on Route 202/206 with obstructed front windows due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Wescott Road off of Wynnwood Road. Subsequent to the investigation, Enoch Hines, 30, of Plainfield was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hines was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.

On July 27 at approximately 10:37 p.m.: While on DWI patrol on Interstate 78 westbound in the area of mile marker 28.4, Bedminster Police ran a silver Honda Civic’s registration which returned with an expired
registration. A motor vehicle stop was conducted. Subsequent to the investigation, Orlando Douglas, 34 of Scranton, Pennsylvania was arrested on a warrant out of Newark for $350. Douglas was unable to post and was released on his own recognizance. Douglas was also issues motor vehicle summonses for driving after driver’s license/registration suspended/revoked, failure to possess driver’s license and driving or parking unregistered motor vehicle.

On July 28 at approximately 1:42 a.m.: While on DWI patrol, Bedminster Police observed a silver Honda Accord traveling on Interstate 78 westbound with obstructed front windows due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Interstate 78 westbound in the area of mile marker 28. Subsequent to the
investigation, Ervin Ortiz-Malave, 30, of Shepptom, Pennsylvania was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and issued motor vehicle summonses for driving after driver’s license/registration suspended/revoked, failure to possess driver’s license, obstruction of windshield for vision and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.

On July 29 at approximately 12:18 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Infiniti G35 traveling on Route 202/206 southbound with obstructed front windows due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 202/206 southbound just prior to the Interstate 287 southbound ramp. Subsequent to the investigation the passenger, Armando Garcia, 20, of Ozone Park, New York was arrested for possession of
CDS marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Christopher Lopez, 21, of Brooklyn, New York was issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.

On July 29 at approximately 7:14 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Honda Accord traveling Route 202/206 northbound in the area of the Bedminster Shell gas station failing to keep right forcing vehicles to pass on the right. Bedminster Police also observed the passengers of the vehicle not wearing their seatbelts. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on route 206 northbound in the area of Pfizer Way. Subsequent to the investigation one of the passengers, Kristina Racek, 37, of Palm Bay, Florida was arrested for a traffic warrant out of Raritan Boro for $106. Racek was unable to post bail and was released on her own recognizance. Racek was also issued a summons for failure of adult: rear seat passenger to wear seat belt.
