The event, which is open to the public, offers children of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore various vehicles and meet the people who build, protect and serve the Somerset County community.

“We are proud to bring this event to the Warren community each year. Last year’s event proved to be a great success with more than 25 vehicles displayed, 35 sponsors, and more than 1,000 community members attending,” said Laurie Ptalis, principal of Mountain Top School. “We are anticipating an even greater turnout this year, which will serve as a wonderful time to raise funds to support the school and bring community members together.”

The 2015 Touch-a-Truck event will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a rain date of May 31st. Vehicles ranging from fire trucks and police cars to construction and landscaping vehicles will be located at the Mt. Horeb Elementary School parking lot, located at 80 Mount Horeb Road in Warren.

In addition to the many trucks children can explore, there will be food from local vendors, including Lombardi Pizza Co., El Lechon De Negron and a visit from the ice cream truck. Kids of all ages will also be able to participate in carnival games throughout the day, and from noon to 1 p.m. see special guest Sparkee from the Somerset Patriots. The cost of admission is $5 per person. Children under one year of age are free. The first 100 people will receive a free giveaway.
