5 Drug, Warrant Arrests, Theft Reported In Bedminster

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Bedminster Police reported making 3 drug possession and two warrant arrests recently.
Bedminster Police blotter:
On Oct. 2 at 7:50 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Ocean County Jail to take over custody of Shamel Hawkins. Hawkins, 24, of Brick was arrested on a Bedminster warrant for $2,893. He was lodged in Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

On Oct. 3 at 7:38 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Larger Cross Road for a theft report. Upon arrival the officer spoke with one of the caretakers of the property who advised one of the signs from the property
was ripped off of the post. The approximate value of the sign is $150.
On Oct. 4 at 12:13 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a white Acura TL traveling on Route 206 northbound in the area of the Bedminster Shell gas station with no license plate lights. A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the area of the Peapack Sunoco gas station. Subsequent to the investigation, Rodney Flora, 57, of Scranton, Pennsylvania was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana over 50 grams, possession of CDS heroin, possession of CDS Oxycodone pills, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Flora was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, improper display / unclear plates, operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS and failure to possess motor vehicle registration. Flora was lodged in Somerset County Jail.

On Oct. 5 at about 1:43 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Greenbrook Police Department to take over
custody of Brett Romano. Romano, 40, of Bound Brook was arrested on a Bedminster warrant for $600. He was lodged in Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.
On Oct. 5 at about 11:03 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Chrysler sedan traveling on Route
202/206 southbound with an obstructed rear license plate. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-287
southbound in the area of mile marker 22. Subsequent to the investigation, Morry Cisse, 22, of Canal Winchester, Ohio was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cisse was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to possess vehicle registration, improper display / unclear plates and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.
On Oct. 6 at about 3:14 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Nissan Sentra traveling on Route 202/206 northbound near the split making a right hand turn onto Route 202 northbound. The vehicle then made a sudden last second left turn to take the u-turn for Route 202/206 southbound without using a signal
and crossing over two lanes of travel. Once the officer caught up to the vehicle he observed that it also had an obstructed windshield due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 202/206 southbound in the area of the Knox House. Subsequent to the investigation, Lucia De-Jesus, 30, of Hillside was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. De-Jesus was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision, failure to give proper signal – turning or stopping, traffic on marked lanes, and operation of moor vehicle while in possession of CDS.
