As a Bedminster resident for over 30 years, I've witnessed firsthand the dedication it takes to maintain our town's exceptional quality of life. That's why, come November 3rd, I'll be voting for Colin Hickey and Rich Costa for the Bedminster Township Committee.
Colin brings a wealth of experience as he completes his third term on the Bedminster Township Committee. He has shown an unwavering dedication to Bedminster residents in many ways, most notably through his tireless work with JCP&L on outages which were all too common in The Hills. This led to a $3M investment by JCP&L in local infrastructure that improved service uptime and reliability. He continues to work with Optimum to bring fiber optic connectivity to The Hills and other areas of Bedminster as well as to lobby against American Water rate hikes. Colin is someone we all can always count on to provide factual information when needed; via local groups on social media platforms, emails, or direct conversations.
Rich has recently joined the Township Committee bringing a wealth of community service and leadership in his roles in the Hills Village North Master Association, he is currently President of Wood Duck Pond HOA, as well as the Environmental Commission where he held the position of Secretary. His business acumen will be invaluable in tackling the budget and finding creative solutions to maximize offerings while minimizing costs.
The Bedminster Township Committee has kept property taxes the lowest in Somerset County through a painstaking review of the municipal budget. This year they delivered a 3.24% year over year increase which is below the rate of inflation. Their focus always is on what is best for the residents of Bedminster, maintaining our Green spaces, bringing new events and activities to our community, such as the recently opened Community Garden, and tackling all challenges that come our way. Both Colin and Rich are long-term residents who understand what makes Bedminster special. They can be counted on to continue the legacy of Bedminster, keeping it affordable and offering a wealth of activities for residents to enjoy.
Please join me in voting for Colin Hickey and Rich Costa on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, to ensure Bedminster remains a special place for all.
