Mary Norris is an editor who has spent more than three decades in The New Yorker’s copy department, maintaining its celebrated high standards. “Between You & Me” is her first book and brings her vast experience, good cheer, and finely sharpened pencils to help the rest of us in a boisterous language book as full of life as it is of practical advice.
Patricia O’Conner of the New York Book Review wrote of the book, “Hilarious… [T]his book charmed my socks off.” In O’Conner’s review in the New York Times last April, she wrote that the book is part memoir and part usage guide too, and that “Norris is a master storyteller and serves up plenty of inside stuff.”
At Hamilton Farms, Ms. Norris will talk about and sign her book, and she will share what it’s like working at the New Yorker and give some practical advice on writing.
