Looking at campaign contributions for the Democrats, Hilary Clinton is emerging as a front runner. She has already brought in the most donations with $2,698,782 in total from the Garden State, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) data.

The former First Lady, New York Senator, and U.S. Secretary of State Clinton has brought in $288,040 from ZIP codes that begin with 079, which includes towns in central and upper Somerset County like Basking Ridge, Bedminster and Bernardsville.

Democrat Bernie Sanders has raised $27,290 from ZIP codes that begin with 079.

Individuals are limited to direct donations of $2,700 per candidate in an election cycle, according to FEC regulations.

A total of 69 individuals with a ZIP code beginning with 088 have contributed that maximum amount to Clinton. Sanders one person with a ZIP code beginning with 079 make a maximum contribution.
