Bedminster Community Garden Opens With 253 Plots, Backed by $300K Grant
The garden at 3055 River Road serves residents of Bedminster, Far Hills, Bridgewater, and other county communities.
BEDMINSTER, NJ - Bedminster has a new community garden, and plots are available for reservation.
Somerset County Commissioner Melonie Marano joined Bedminster Council members May 1 for the ribbon cutting of the Bedminster Community Garden at 3055 River Road, officially opening the 253-plot space to residents of Bedminster, Far Hills, Bridgewater, and other Somerset County communities.
The project was supported by a $300,000 Somerset County Recreation Grant.

Plots are open daily from sunrise to sunset, April 1 through Nov. 30, weather permitting.
"The Community Garden advances the goals of Somerset County's Recreation Grant Program and Open Space Preservation Plan by creating an accessible, community-driven space that supports recreation, environmental stewardship, and social connection," Marano said. "Residents have the opportunity to grow their own produce and flowers, all while immersing themselves in nature."
