Bedminster Earns Bronze for Going Green

Bedminster, NJ -- Bedminster has earned the Bronze level award from Sustainable Jersey for keeping the township green.

Bedminster was one of four municipalities in Somerset County to earn an award. Montgomery and Bridgewater each were awarded bronze. Hillsborough was awarded silver.

There are 566 municipalities in New Jersey with 430 participating in the League of Municipalities. Of those, only 190 have achieved a certification.

Sustainable Jersey is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that supports community efforts to reduce waste, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and improve environmental equity.

The program has distributed over half a million dollars to New Jersey communities to support an estimated 1,500 actions taken “on the ground” to make communities more livable, environmentally friendly and prosperous.
