Bedminster Local Arrested For DUI Following Car Crash With Deer: Police

The Bedminster Police reported a township resident was arrested for DUI last week in the blotter.

Bedminster, NJ - A Bedminster resident was arrested after getting into an accident with a deer in the area of 305 Burnt Mills Road, Bedminster Police reported.

On June 17 at 11:49 p.m. Angelina Derosa, 41, of Kensington Road in Bedminster was arrested for 39:4-50 (driving under the influence) and issued amotor vehicle summons for 39:4-97 (careless driving).

No injuries were reported.

Suspicious Incident

On June 14 at approx. 1:43 p.m.: A Bedminster resident responded to HQ to report a suspicious incident. The resident informed the officer that she listed an ad on Craigslist attempting to sell a leather jacket. She received a text message from “Greg” stating that he wanted her to ship the jacket to him and he would send her a money order with an extra $40 for shipping. “Greg” texted resident again and advised her that his assistant made the money order out for too much and to cash the check and give him the change. The resident received two money orders for $985. The money orders were flagged as fake immediately by the bank. The money orders were turned over to the Police department and the investigation is still pending.

Warrant Arrest

On June 16 at approx. 5 p.m.: Bedminster Police were advised of an arrest made by North Plainfield Police of, Suavay Taylor, age 23 of Plainfield. Taylor was arrested on a $250 Bedminster Twp. Municipal Court warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic ticket for 39:4-98 (speeding). Taylor was unable to post bail and was released on his own recognizance with a new court date.

On June 18 at 8:30 p.m.: Bedminster Police were advised of an arrest made by Bloomfield Police of, Emmanuel Ojeda, age 30 of Bloomfield. Ojeda was arrested on multiple warrants including a $400 Bedminster Twp. warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket for 39:3-10A (driving with an expired license), a $1,000 Bernards Twp. warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket for 39:3-40 (driving while suspended) a $600 Bernards Twp. warrant for failure to appear on a Township ordinance 3-10 (eluding), a $500 Secaucus warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket for 39:3-40 (driving while suspended) and a
$500 Glen Ridge Boro warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket for 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps). Ojeda was lodged in Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

On June 19 at approx. 1:32 a.m.: Bedminster Police were traveling northbound on Rte. 206 near The Church of the Hills when they observed a blue minivan traveling southbound at a high rate of speed with its high
beams on. As the vehicle passed it was observed that the driver’s side tail light was not operable. Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop, Timothy Joseph, age 37 of Somerset was arrested on a Franklin Township no bail warrant for violation of a Court Order. Joseph was also issued summonses for 39:3-40 (driving while suspended), 39:3-29 (failure to possess driver’s license) and 39:3-66 (maintenance of lamps). Joseph was turned over to Franklin Twp. Police.
