Bedminster Local Arrested For Shoplifting At Costco
Two Bridgewater garages were also burglarized, according to the police blotter.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Bedminster local was arrested for shoplifting from Costco in Bridgewater, police reported.
On Dec. 23, Richard Nowel (age 74) of Bedminster was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $93 from Costco at the Promenade Shopping Center, Bridgewater Police reported.
Nowel was charged with Shoplifting. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.

Bridgewater Police Blotter:
On Dec. 13 at around 6:16 p.m.: A resident of Park Avenue reported a burglary to their home. Someone entered an unlocked detached garage and ransacked it. The homeowner was unsure if anything was stolen, police reported.

On Dec. 13 at around 6:43 p.m.: A Park Avenue resident reported a burglary to their home. Someone entered an unlocked garage and removed several power tools with an approximate value of $400, police reported.
On Dec. 30: Luke Jones (age 19) of Branchburg was arrested for shoplifting merchandise with an approximate value of $979 from The Sunglass Hut and Macy’s at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and a marijuana smoking pipe. He was charged with shoplifting, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed for the arrest and released with a pending court appearance.
