Bedminster Police Make 2 Drug, 3 Warrant Arrests

Bedminster Police reported making two drug possession and three warrant arrests recently.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Bedminster Police reported making two drug possession and three warrant arrests recently.

Bedminster Police blotter:

On Dec. 3 at 11:19 p.m.: Bedminster Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a black Mazda 3 on Washington Valley Road. Prior to the stop, the officer performed a random look up of the registration while on Route 202/206 and learned the registered owner had an expired license and an active traffic warrant. Subsequent to the investigation, Christopher Nuzzolo, 55 of Bridgewater was arrested on a warrant out of Wayne for $500. Nuzzolo posted bail and was processed and released.

On Dec. 6 at about 1:25 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to East Orange Police to take over custody of Kenneth Young. Kenneth Young, 48 of Newark was arrested on a warrant out of Bedminster for $1,000. Young was lodged in Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

On Dec. 7 at 10:12 p.m.: Bedminster Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a beige Chevrolet Suburban on Route 78 eastbound near mile marker 29.4. Prior to the stop, the officer was traveling eastbound in the far right lane when they observed the vehicle coming from behind at a high rate of speed. The radar unit confirmed the vehicle to be going 94 mph in a 55 mph construction zone. Subsequent to the investigation, Alexander Koch, 20, of Spotswood was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcoholic beverages. Koch was also issued motor vehicle summonses for speeding, possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) in a motor vehicle, and open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

On Dec. 9 at about 7:04 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to headquarters for a walk in. Roberto Mendez, 29, of Allentown, Pennsylvania responded to pay a warrant out of Bedminster for $500. Mendez posted bail and was processed and released.

On Dec. 9 at about 9:21 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a grey Hyundai Sonata fail to give a proper turn signal while exiting the Bedminster Shell gas station onto Route 206 southbound and the vehicle had an obstructed front windshield due to multiple chains, necklaces and air fresheners. A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the parking lot of the Exxon gas station off of Route 202/206 southbound. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Ezekiel Concepcion, 19, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania was arrested for possession of CDS marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Janyiah Rothwell, 19, of Chester, Pennsylvania was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to give proper signal – turning or stopping and obstruction of windshield for vision.
