Bedminster Police Respond to Downed Trees, Outages from Storm
Bedminster Police responded to three traffic light outages, three down trees, two road hazards, and six trees on wire calls: blotter

Bedminster, NJ -- Bedminster Police responded to three traffic light outages, three down trees, two road hazards, and six trees on wire calls due to the high winds on Sunday, according to the blotter.
Municipal roads including Black River Road, Larger Cross Road, Holland Road were still closed as of 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 4 due to power lines being down.

On March 28 at approximately 3:31 p.m.: While running stationary radar near AT&T pond Bedminster Police observed a red Cadillac Escalade traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop, the driver, Valoree Racanelli, age 42 of New Vernon was arrested for a traffic warrant out of Morris Plains for $140.
On April 3: Bedminster Police responded to Pine Court parking lot for the report of a possible abandoned vehicle. The officer arrived on scene and observed the passenger side windows of the vehicle were smashed. There was glass in the parking lot next to where the car was parked. The registration came back expired. Officer made contact with, David Berman who owns the vehicle. He advised that he had not drove the vehicle in a long time and did not report the incident because he did not believe the insurance would cover it. The damage exceeded $500 which was documented.
