Bedminster Spring Fling Returns At Trump National
On average this event raises $35,000 to support Bedminster students.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — The Bedminster Township School Parent Teacher Organization’s annual Spring Fling is returning to Trump National Golf Course in April on Friday, April 28 and organizers are “stressing this is not a political decision.”
“We have to book our venues close to a year in advance to secure the best price and we need space to accommodate close to 300 people,” Anna Spitaleri, Chairperson for the Spring Fling, told Patch.
Spitaleri noted the committee did look at other venues but the price at Trump National was the best.

“One of biggest things I want to stress is to set aside political feelings and come out and be in our town and 100 percent support the kids at Bedminster School,” Spitaleri said.
The PTO’s focus this year is going green. They are pushing to initiate a garden committee and setting up composting in the schools.

As part of this initiative, invitations to the Spring Fling are being emailed instead of mailed to save paper.
On average the Spring Fling raises $35,000. All of the funds are used to enhance the educational experience of the Bedminster School student with more enriching while being in line with the current curriculum.
The past two years, funds were used on school programs and assemblys such as a STEAM museum, kid interactive theater, having Shakespeare Theater of NJ visit the school and having a cyber bullying assembly. They even flew in a New York Times bestselling author, Dave Burgess, from California to speak to the staff.
Funds have also been used to defray costs to take children on trips to Jenkinson’s Aquarium or to a eat at a Cuban Restaurant in Somerville.
Advanced ticket sales are $70 per ticket (the same as last year). Bedminster Township School Teachers may purchase tickets at a discounted price of $65 per ticket.
There will be a Silent Auction available on-line enabling attendees to bid via their mobile devices. The auction will also be open to those who are not able to attend. There will be a preview of items available one hour prior to the event.
Baskets will also be raffled off and the PTO is looking for any donations.
Invitations will be emailed in March and sent out via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

“We make no profit on the ticket sales as Trump National gives us such an amazing price to support our town and school. For those who are not able to attend, consider buying 50/50 tickets or bidding in our on-line Silent Auction instead,” Spitaleri said.
All donors and supporters will be acknowledged on the leaves of their "Treemendously Thankful" bulletin board in the Main Lobby at School.
“A donation of any kind helps us reach this goal,” Spitaleri said. “Every penny is spent to benefit and enhance the educational experience of every Bedminster Township School student.”
