Bernardsville-Bedminster Election Results 2017
Breaking: Democrats take control in Bernardsville.

BERNARDSVILLE/BEDMINSTER, NJ — Locally there was a contested race in both Bernardsville and Bedminster.
Here are the unofficial results of the 2017 Bernardsville Borough Council, Bedminster Township Committee, Board of Education elections and county races.
Bernardsville:

In Bernardsville, where there were four candidates vying for two three-year seats on the borough council, democrats took over control.
Democrats Christine Zamarra received 1,537 and Thomas O'Dea Jr. got 1,316 votes to win over republicans incumbent William Youngblood, who got 1,209 votes and Karen J. Gardner who got 1,201.

Bedminster:
In Bedminster there are two candidates vying for one three-year seats on the township committee.
Republican incumbent R. Colin Hickey remained in control with 1,568 votes over democrat Denise King with 1,112 votes
Board of Education:
There were four candidates vying for two three-year seats on the Somerset Hills School District for Bernardsville.
Candidates Sara Sooy got 1,007 votes and Kathleen A. Tober got 936 votes to win over Patricia Wry with 824 votes and Anthony Sardis with 461 votes.
There is only one candidate vying for the lone three-year seat for Peapack/Gladstone — Heather Santoro.
For the Bedminster Township School District there are five candidates vying for three three-year seats.
Candidates Giovanna Lamiera got 914 votes,Michael Allegra got 655 and Francis J. Porcelli with 660 barely winning over Howard Wolkow with 598 votes and Ralph W. Wojtech with 459 votes.
Results are unofficial until certified by the Somerset County Clerk and do not include absentee ballots.
