Bernardsville Is Hiring Special Law Enforcement Officers, Retired Officers

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — The Bernardsville Police Department is actively seeking to hire qualified Special Law Enforcement Officers II (SLEO II) or retired officers that are qualified to fill the available SLEO II positions.

This position is for a SLEO II that will be assigned part time to work as needed for various duties such as patrol, traffic details, critical incidents and outside private contract details.

Applicants must be available to attend and successfully complete mandatory agency training, firearms qualifications and in-service training. After determining an applicant's initial qualification for the position, a background check and medical and psychological exam will be completed.
