Bernardsville Library is a Five STAR Library Again--The 7th Consecutive Year.

Bernardsville Public Library is one of only two five-star libraries in New Jersey in its budget category.

We are pleased to announce that, for the seventh consecutive year, Bernardsville Public Library has been ranked a Five Star Library by Library Journal, whose rankings were released in early November. It is one of two five-star libraries in New Jersey in its budget category ($1,000,000 to $4,999,999). Nationwide, Bernardsville ranked eighth among libraries in its budget category.

Library Journal is the long-established professional publication which reports news about the library world. The ratings are based on four per-capita service indicators that are reported annually to state agencies: library visits, circulation, program attendance and public Internet computer uses. This year’s “Index of Public Library Service 2015” is based on 2013 data released by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

“We are thrilled and honored to have been recognized again as an outstanding library,” said Terry Thompson, President of the Library’s Board of Trustees, “We continue to receive strong support from our community including the Borough Council, the Friends of the Library and Bernardsville Library Foundation helping to keep the library current in the digital age. We have a terrific team of management and staff, as well as the active engagement of dedicated library volunteers. All this helped us maintain our star rating as we continue to be A world at your doorstep.”
