Bernardsville Library Friends Host Fall Bash at Bernards Inn
Annual fall fundraising event hosted by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library at The Bernards Inn.

The Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library invite residents and all library friends and supporters to their annual Fall fundraising event on Friday, October 27th, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at The Bernards Inn in Bernardsville. All proceeds will go toward the many programs that the Friends support —special programs like the Sundays at Three concert series, museum passes, the children’s summer reading programs, children’s winter camp, large print books, new member welcome bags, e-readers, and other materials that the normal allocation from the Borough cannot cover. All these have helped make our library a Five- Star Library, as rated by the prestigious Library Journal, for eight consecutive years, and community support of the Friends makes these vital programs possible.
Guests at the Bash will enjoy assorted seasonal hors d’oeuvres and a buffet dinner of prime rib, a pasta station and seasonal vegetables as well as coffee and tea with the chef’s choice of dessert. Executive Chef Todd Mark Miller, who is described as having a “simple yet creative approach to the craft of cooking,” is relatively new to The Bernards Inn. He has worked at The One Group in New York and the Cornerstone Restaurant Group, most recently at ZYLO Hoboken. There will be a cash bar with a very special signature cocktail available for purchase.
Guests will also have the pick of many wonderful items in a silent auction. Beach vacations, golf foursomes, restaurant gift cards, and wine baskets, are just a few of the items being auctioned.

"In this difficult budget year, community support is needed now more than ever," said Nancy Verduin, President of the Friends, "We hope many people who use the library will join us at this special event. A gift to the Friends is a gift to the library!"
