Bernardsville Mayor Mary Jane Canose announced today that the Borough has been approved to host a Mobile DMV Office on Friday, August 6th from 10 am to 2 pm in the parking lot of the Bernardsville Borough Library. This past spring, the Borough Council requested the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles to place Bernardsville on a list for its Mobile DMV Office services.
In order to visit the Mobile DMV Office residents are required to make an appointment by contacting the Bernardsville municipal clerk’s office asuriano@bernardsvilleboro.org or by calling at 908-766-3000 (please selection option 6 and then 2 at the prompts). Please provide full name, email address, and the service being requested. There is a limit of 40 appointments for the day. Ten additional appoints will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if a spot becomes available.

The services that will be available at the Mobile DMV office include:
• Driver license renewals.
• REAL ID’s if expiring within 6 months. REAL ID’s will only be processed between 10 am and noon and will be limited to 12 customers.
• Placards for veterans, handicapped parking and Purple Heart recipients.
• Non-driver ID’s.
• License plate drop-offs (no limit and number of customers).
Customers will need their 6 points of ID and they must bring their social security card. Those who do not have a social security card may submit an affidavit form which can be found on the MVC website.
