The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners is amending Chapter 8 of the Somerset County Land Development Review Resolution involving recycling fees. The required public hearing to discuss and act on the resolution is scheduled for April 27, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

There are two proposed amendments to Chapter 8, Section V of the Somerset County Land Development Review Resolution. The first involves new single-family home developments. The current Land Development Review Resolution requires a contribution of $10.00 per dwelling unit for single-family detached residential use for recycling containers. In order to more accurately reflect the costs of the new recycling totes, provided by the county, it is proposed that the fee be changed from $10.00 to $75.00 per dwelling unit.
