Bread Order Stolen From Outside Bedminster Market

Bedminster Police also reported making 15 arrests for outstanding warrants and drug possession.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A bread delivery was stolen outside of a market in Bedminster, police report.

On Aug. 29 at 2:52 p.m., the owner of Desiderio Market at 300 Main St. responded to headquarters to report a theft.

He said that upon arrival this morning at the market his bread order was not outside. He said he received confirmation from the delivery company that the order was delivered at 2:15 a.m. The owner said it was $50 worth of bread, according to Bedminster Police.

On Aug. 20 at approximately 10:12 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a green Chevrolet Suburban traveling southbound on I-287 with an obstructed front window due to multiple air fresheners and a necklace, the vehicle also failed to use a proper turn signal while making a lane change. A motor vehicle stop was
conducted on I-287 southbound in the area of mile marker 22. Subsequent to the investigation, the
passenger, Paul Laude, 29, of Easton, Pennsylvania was arrested for a no bail warrant out of Jersey City Police. Laude was turned over to Jersey City Police Department. The driver, Jose Lawat, 29 of Flushing, New York was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to give proper signal – turning or stopping,
obstruction of windshield for vision and failure to possess driver's license or registration or insurance document.

On Aug. 21 at approximately 8:09 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a gray Infiniti G35 traveling on I78 westbound in the area of mile marker 28 with no rear license plate lights. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-78 westbound in the area of mile marker 24.6. Subsequent to the investigation, Stephanie Ulloa, 23 of Newark was arrested for possession of prescription legend drug or stramonium in an amount of four or fewer dosage units not lawfully prescribed by a licensed physician. Jovan Mckoy, 26, of Newark was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ulloa was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of controlled dangerous substance.

On Aug. 22 at approximately 9:54 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a silver Honda Accord traveling on I-78 westbound near mile marker 28 with obstructed front windows due to tint, the vehicle also failed to use a proper turn signal while making a lane change. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-78 westbound in the area of mile marker 29.6. Subsequent to the investigation, the driver, Francisco Flores-Robles, 21, of Cliffside Park and passengers, Cesar Santiago, 24, of Union City and Emelyn Robles, 22, of Cliffside Park were arrested for possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia. Santiago and Flores-Robles were also charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Flores-Robles was also issued motor vehicle summonses for obstruction of windshield for vision, failure to give proper signal – turning or stopping and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of controlled dangerous substance.

On Aug. 24 at approximately 2:10 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a silver Subaru Impreza traveling on Route 206 northbound with an inoperable rear passenger’s brake light and license plate lights. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 206 northbound at the Peapack Sunoco gas station. Subsequent to the investigation, Maureen Lynch, 33, of Chester was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lynch was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and operation of motor vehicle while in possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS).

On Aug. 25 at approximately 1:06 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a black Kia Optima traveling on Route 202/206 southbound with obstructed front windows due to tint. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-287 southbound at mile marker 22. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Travis Afasano, 26, of Hazlet was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Mykel Hayes, 32, of Lakewood given a motor vehicle summonses for operation of motor vehicle while in possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS).

On Aug. 26 at approximately 2:31 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a white Toyota Corolla traveling on Rattlesnake Bridge Road southbound towards I-78 with no rear license plate lights and the vehicle was traveling 53 mph in a 45 mph zone. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on the I-78 eastbound entrance ramp. Subsequent to the investigation, Mark Calogera, 26, of North Brunswick was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Colagera was also issued motor vehicle summonses for operation of motor vehicle while in possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS), maintenance of lamps, throw debris from vehicle, and speeding.

On Aug. 29 at 12:15 p.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Rattlesnake Bridge Road overpass with the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department for a report of a truck fire. Upon arrival the officer observed a tri-axle dump truck smoking from the right rear. The driver advised that he noticed the side tire smoking heavily and catch fire. He pulled over and utilized his fire extinguisher, but was unable to put the fire out. A passerby also used their fire extinguisher but the inner tire of the middle axle was still smoking. The fire department dumped water on the tire to the axle to completely extinguish the fire and cool the surface. The driver was uninjured.

On Aug. 30 at 12:05 a.m.: Bedminster Police responded to Irvington Police to transport a prisoner to Somerset County Jail. Darryl Glover, 38, of Newark was arrested on an active criminal warrant out of Bedminster for $500. Glover was lodged in jail in lieu of bail.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 12:24 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a white Volkswagen Jetta traveling on Route 202/206 southbound with unclear rear license plates, an obstructed windshield due to multiple air
fresheners and fail to signal a lane change. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on I-287 southbound at
mile marker 21.6. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Bryan Weber, 26, of Flemington was arrested for a warrant out of Montgomery Twp. for $500. Weber was unable to post and was released on his own recognizance. Weber was also issued a summons for throw debris from vehicle. The driver Briana Weber, 19, of Flemington was given verbal warning for improper/unclear/fictitious display, obstructed windshield and failure to signal turn.

On Sept. 1 at 8:45 p.m.: Bedminster Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a blue Honda Civic with a Pennsylvania registration on I-287 northbound at mile marker 23.8. Prior to the stop, the officer observed the vehicle with a cell phone mounted to the middle of the front windshield in violation of obstructed windshield. Subsequent to the investigation, the driver, Daniel Rios, 35, of Bronx, New York was arrested for an active traffic warrant of Pohatcong for $1,500. Rios was unable to post and was released on his own recognizance. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for obstructed windshield. The passenger, Rafael Rios, 62, of Bronx, New York was arrested on an no bail NCIC warrant out of New York City for a traffic violation, a traffic warrant out of Elizabeth for $580 and a traffic warrant out of Teterboro for $1276. Rafael was lodged in Somerset County Jail on the no bail NCIC warrant.

On Sept. 2 at approximately 3:10 a.m.: Bedminster Police observed a tan Honda Accord traveling Route 206 northbound fail to maintain its lane three times and both the front and rear passengers of the vehicle littering from the vehicle. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 206 northbound in the area of the Church of the Hills. Subsequent to the investigation, the passenger, Jessica Cepeda, 25, of Monroe, New York was arrested for and active warrant out of Newton for $750. Cepeda post bail and was given a verbal warning for failure of an adult rear seat passenger to wear a seatbelt and littering from a motor vehicle. The driver, Adam Tripp, 29, of Newton was given a verbal warning for failure to maintain lane.

On Sept. 2 at 8:40 p.m.: Bedminster Police observed a grey Mercury sedan traveling on Route 202/206 northbound fail to give a proper turn signal twice while making lane changes. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Route 202/206 southbound just prior to the I-287 southbound entrance ramp. Subsequent to the investigation the driver, a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to give proper signal – turning or stopping, operation of motor vehicle while in possession of CDS and failure to notify DMV of address change. The juvenile was turned over to her parent.
