Burglary Suspect Injured in Chase

A burglary suspect was taken by Medevac helicopter to the hospital after injuring himself during an escape from Bedminster Township Police Monday afternoon.

According to Bedminster Township Police Chief Pat Ussery, the burglary suspect was chased from a house on Riverwood at around 2:30 p.m.

"He ended up hurting himself jumping off an embankment into the river near the Far Hills Fairground," Ussery said.

The suspect was flown away from the scene.

Ussery said more information is not yet available.
