Callers Imitate Police In Bernarsville Phone Scam: Cops

​Bernardsville Police are warning residents about alleged scammers pretending to be associated with the police.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Bernardsville Police are warning residents about alleged scammers pretending to be associated with the police.

The callers are reportedly representing themselves as the New Jersey Police Association or other police agencies in New Jersey and asking for donations over the phone to residents in Bernardsville, borough police report.

"Please be advised that the Bernardsville Police Department has no affiliation with the organization and NEVER SOLICITS DONATION by telephone," police said.
