Car Stolen from Kestrel Lane Reported in Bedminster Blotter

Bedminster, NJ -- Stolen vehicle, criminal mischief and solicitors among those reported in the Bedminster Police blotter for Feb. 22 through Feb. 28.

  • Criminal Mischief

Feb. 23 at approximately 9:53 a.m, Bedminster Police was dispatched to 1145 Burnt Mills Road for a report of property damage. The officer made contact with the homeowner who showed him the damage which was on the north side of Burnt Mills Road. An unknown vehicle entered the field and tore up a 60x200 feet area. The damage was approximately 30 feet off the side of the road.

  • Solicitors

Feb. 24 at 3:23 p.m., Bedminster Police responded to Hillside Avenue for a report of a solicitor in the area. The complainant advised a male was going door to door attempting to sell steaks. The vehicle was described as an older model truck with a blue steer head on the side and NY license plates. The officer located the vehicle near Wildwood Avenue and advised the driver of the township ordinance regarding soliciting. The driver complied and left the area.

  • Stolen Vehicle

Feb. 27 at 11:47 a.m. Bedminster Police responded to Kestrel Lane for a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner advised his 2015 Range Rover was stolen from his driveway sometime overnight. The vehicle was entered as stolen.

  • Abandoned Vehicle

Feb. 28 at 8:16 p.m. while patrolling Rattlesnake Bridge Road, Bedminster Police noticed a gray 2003 Honda Civic parked on the southbound shoulder in the area of Red Tail Farm. The vehicle did not have any license plates, the key was in the ignition, the doors were unlocked, some windows were open and the registration and inspection stickers were scraped off. The officer ran the VIN and found the registered owner to be suspended out of New York. Contact was attempted to be made with the registered owner to no avail. The vehicle was towed.
