CHOIR FESTIVAL IN GLADSTONE
Please join the choirs of St. Luke's Church, Gladstone and St. James' Church, Long Branch for a service of Choral Evensong.
The service will be conducted and accompanied by Dr. Brian Harlow and Mr. James Douglas. The service will be filled with choral music and hymns, including music by Herbert Howells and Edward Bairstow. This special event is free and open to all, with a free-will offering.
Evensong is a service of sung Evening Prayer that allows for an hour of peaceful reflection toward the end of the day. It follows an historic liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England, originating with Thomas Cranmer in 1549 and revised in 1662.
The service will be held Sunday, March 15 at 4:00 p.m
